7 Night SCUBA Diving and Safari Experience
Itinerary

Day 1:
Arrive at Durban airport and transfer to Sodwana Bay, stopping on the way for lunch. You will then spend the afternoon and evening exploring the local area, maybe making use of the swimming pool and on-site pub.

Day 2:
2 morning dives at the stunning Sodwana Bay dive sites, with the rest of the day free to explore the local area and partake in any of the numerous activities on your doorstep that take your fancy.

Day 3:
1 morning dive followed by free time to explore the beaches and local area. A quad biking session through the sand dunes is booked for the afternoon.

Day 4:
2 morning dives, followed by the rest of the day off to relax and do as you please.

Day 5:
1 last morning dive to enjoy before being transferred to Hilltop Camp at Hluhluwe Game Reserve. After having entered the reserve you will spend the drive to the camp on the lookout for the Big 5, as well as the many other animals living in the park. Once settled into your accommodation you will take part in an early evening game drive with a qualified and experienced field guide.

Day 6:
Today you will be picked up for an early morning game drive by a qualified field guide and taken for a game spotting trip into the bush. After an exciting 3 hours on safari you will return to camp to relax around the pool, enjoy lunch and ramble along the forest trail around the edge of the camp if you so wish. You will end the day with a late afternoon drive through the bush at sunset, and then return to camp once more for dinner.

Day 7:
As with day 6 you will be involved in an early morning game drive and a late afternoon game drive, returning to camp in between to search for small animals within the camp or to simply relax around the beautiful swimming pool.

Day 8:
Today includes the transfer from Hilltop Camp back to Durban airport, keeping an eye out for stunning wildlife and birds during your last drive through the Hluhluwe Game Reserve as you leave.

Meals

During your stay at Sodwana Bay Dive Lodge a full cooked buffet breakfast and dinner are included at the onsite Leatherbacks Restaurant. Breakfast consists of a hot buffet, toast, cereal, fruit and tea or coffee and can be enjoyed before heading down to the beach for your first dive of the day. Dinner is chosen from a full menu and includes a choice of steaks and seafood. The portion sizes are very generous and the food is highly rated.

Please note that drinks with dinner are not included in the price. Lunch is not included, but Leatherbacks is open over lunchtime and offers a variety of snacks and light meals at very decent prices. Adjoining the Leatherbacks Restaurant is the on-site bar, where you can relax and enjoy a drink after your dive and well into the evening, possibly whilst watching any current sports events on the TVs there.

Meals at Hilltop Camp are served at the Mpunyane Restaurant and consist of a hearty full cooked English breakfast and a la carte dinner. The dinner offers a variety of both hot and cold foods, and during good weather a traditional braai (barbeque) may be served. Please note that it is recommended that you book your table for dinner earlier in the day during busy periods. Cold drinks and alcoholic beverages may be enjoyed in the eloquently decorated safari lounge, which offers an astoundingly beautiful view of the surrounding valleys within the reserve.
