Local Attractions and Activities

Within the immediate area there are numerous exciting activities to delight and entertain:

• Aside from SCUBA diving there are five blue flag beaches on the South Coast that would make a stunning day trip.

• Deep sea fishing is very popular in the area and you will have your pick of companies offering excursions. There is usually a deep sea fishing company in Small Craft Harbour.

• Boat trips can be arranged from Small Craft Harbour (just across the road from the accommodation), from which you may see humpback whales, whale sharks and dolphins.

• There are a number of excellent golf courses in the local area to entertain the golf enthusiast.

• Oribi Gorge is nearby, offering majestic views and stunning scenery. You can also partake in any of the Wild 5 activities they have on offer there; abseiling (110m beside a waterfall), white river rafting (grade 2 to 4 rapids on a two day expedition), the wild swing (the highest gorge swing in the world at 100m) the wild slide (a zip slide 160m above the treetops) and horse riding (one and half hour trails for all rider abilities).

• The local Shelley Centre offers a wide variety of shops, banks, restaurants and a cinema and is only 30 metres from the accommodation.
