Each camp offers a unique opportunity to see specific species of animals and birds depending on the vegetation in the surrounding area, but in general the most popular and interesting things to seek within the Park are:

• The Big 5; elephant, lion, buffalo, rhino and leopard.

• The lesser known Little 5; buffalo weaver, elephant shrew, leopard tortoise, ant lion and rhino beetle.

• The Birding Big 6; ground hornbill, kori bustard, Lappet-faced vulture, martial eagle, Pel’s fishing owl and the saddle-bill stork.

• The Five Trees; baobab, fever tree, knob thorn (watch out, they’re spiky), marula (fruit of the alcoholic drink Amarula) and mopane.

• Natural and Cultural features; Letaba Elephant Museum, Jock of the Bushveld Route, Albasini Ruins, Maserini Ruins, Stevenson Hamilton Memorial Library and Thulamela.
